We read Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy by Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant shortly after its publication this April 2017. The Penguin Random House book, published under its Alfred K. Knopf imprint, was riveting to say the least. Sheryl bravely goes into detail about the harrowing moments of her late husband’s passing and the months of sorrow that followed for both her and her family.

Book Review: Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

We recently started in on Richelle Mead’s spin-off series, Bloodlines, which follows with up her Vampire Academy series character Sydney Sage, the Alchemist who assists Rose in Russia while she is looking for her Strigoi-turned lover Dimitri.

Upon first meeting Sage in Vampire Academy, we found her to be an intriguing, if somewhat uptight, character who showed a lot of in-depth knowledge on vampires, despite her closed-mindedness. In Bloodlines we learn Sydney’s viewpoints and perceptions are shaped by the deep-set views of her family and the Alchemist community and we get to see her grow into a more open-minded person,

The Fault in Our Stars Screening

One of our Blonde Rebellion Staff members also works for Penguin Books, the publisher of John Green’s novel The Fault in Our Stars. Today, she got to see a screening of the movie that releases June 6th.

“A big fan of the book, I was anxious to see what was in store for the movie. The trailer was amazing, and book sales sky-rocketed when it released, spurring on more fans to read the book. Not only that, it is officially the most-liked movie trailer in YouTube history.
